Hinduism is more a way of life than a religion and being an eternal process,it keeps on assimilating ideas,trends,rituals and many practices as the time passes.Yes,it’s true that Hindus aren’t what they used to be ,say 100 years back but it’s acceptable in Hinduism and they remain as good Hindus as any.The word is derived from Indu(a river)and people residing around it’s banks were called Indus,later known as Hindus.One of the names for India is Hindustan ie the native place of Hindus.Hinduism has no original prophet or a religious leader who can be attributed for starting Hinduism.It’s a non linear religion which respects all other religions and gives a wide berth to it’s followers by accommodating even contradictions and variations in adhering to it’s practices.In a way,it could be a most suitable religion in todays world where every body would like to have a liberal and customized personal religion without hassles of Dos and DONTs.

hindu is a way of life that envelops every thing every one including stone images and souls and also those who beilive or not believe in god, thpse who are good or bad, speak any language, worship or not, see or not god as a diety,

First of all I would like to ask you ? Who told you that Hindus are not today as per they should be!

However anybody told you this is true in real because the Hindu religion is not an original name its name was Vedic at the starting and Vedic means one who follow Vedas and Vedas means the science/knowledge and all the knowledge about all the creation created by God.
