what is the best realestate agents?

March 6, 2010 - 12:32 pm 5 Comments

YOU choose a real estate agent after an interview. Prepare questions you want answered. How many houses have they sold in this price range? What are the fees? How long do they think it will take to sell your house? How long did it take for them to find a buyer for the last house they had in your price range? Do they know your neighborhood?
I’m sure you can come up with many questions…just think about it.
If price paid to the agent is the only factor that matters to you then Assist to sell is the cheapest company…the service will be less, but then so is the price…be careful if you use a company like this and another agent brings the buyer….you will be asked to pay and additional 3 percent to cover that agent’s fees and then you are almost at the fees generated by a regular realtor.

how to become a realestate agent?

March 4, 2010 - 2:12 pm 2 Comments

I want to become a real estate agent, but I am a little confused here on how to start. Should I start taking the Realestate course, or anything else I need to do before that? Can anyone help please?

Obviously, you start by taking the real estate courses.

But before, get prepared by making a list or people you know who are likely to buy or sell homes in the near future (within the next five years, by concentrating on those who will do so in the next year). If you can’t find at least 100 distinct places, then don’t bother.

who makes more money? realestate agents, brokes or loan officers?

March 2, 2010 - 4:08 pm 5 Comments

Depends upon the drive of the person, the market they are in, and the level of success they seek. Some sit and wait for things to come to them, some get up and go for the gold. I went from 20 yrs in trucking to real estate, and made the Million Dollar sales club the first year. I never looked back. I could not afford to fail, it was not an option.
It also depends upon the "house" splits and how many homes you close. Generally real estate brokers earn more than associate or affiliate brokers. That is simply a reflection differences if the education and experience levels between the 2.

Mortgage officials are no different. Some are good some live on the "salary" until they go commissioned then find another place to go to and repeat the process. Both professions potentially can pay very well, but as in any profession it requires hard work. If you are willing to pay the price you too can be successful.

Question for realestate agents.?

February 26, 2010 - 2:14 pm 9 Comments

The realestate market in my city has hit an all time high. Because of this the cost of rental houses has also gone up. The market is now balancing off and slowly starting to go down again. My question is, will the cost of rental places also start to go down or now that there has been a precident set, will they stay high?

The rental market should remain high because of the prices investors have paid recently for apartments. Long time owners have also raised rents because the market supported a raise. Rents won’t go down anytime soon, especially now that people can’t afford to buy homes once again.

Why Agents Hate Short Sales?

Real Estate agents are being faced with the need to do short sales. So why do real estate agents hate short sales? I’ll tell you why they can be very frustrating. One of the Reasons they are so frustrating is that they take so long and you can lose your buyer while you wait for the answer from the bank. If Realtors can change their perspective on this first buyer it can make a big difference in their short sale. Becoming a realestate agent any tips?

February 24, 2010 - 2:13 pm 4 Comments

I am just working on becoming licensed as a real estate agent in Michigan, I have found 2 brokerages that I really like and am working on narrowing it down to 1, any tips as I begin this career I have full researched it and know the risks and the disadvantages. Any ideas for marketing, or anything else that may be helpful? Would like to hear from some expierenced agents. Thanks!

I’ve worked as a Realtor two different times but only on a part time basis. What I saw from successful Realtors is that you have to work it like a job. Go into the office every day. Make a lot of phone calls. One broker I worked for said 10 phone calls a day and you would be successful. Plan on calling For Sale By Owners and Expired listings. Give a business card to everyone you meet. Make a list of people you know (sphere of influence) and send an introductory letter to those people telling them that you are now selling real estate and if they know anyone looking to buy or sell please contact you. Any time you meet someone or have a new client add them to your list. Send out a postcard or newsletter about once a month so they don’t forget about you. When you are trying to get an appointment or a commitment on a contract don’t ask a question that they can answer no to. For instance, don’t ask if you can come over, instead ask if 6:00 or 7:00 is better for them. Give a choice, it makes it harder for them to say no. My husband’s aunt is a successful real estate agent in NC and I’m told she went door to door when she first started. Basically, plan on working your butt off to start with and after a while you’ll start getting referrals. Make sure you give good customer service so your buyers and sellers will use you again and refer their friends to you.

Why do realestate agents remind me of used car salesmen??

Realtors are dumb, stupid idiots. It takes very little to become a licensed agent. They are lying liars who know very little.

Right now in California, they’re out here telling folks what a great time it is to buy a $500,000 piece of crap in the ghetto.

1 of two things is evident. Either (a) they’re too damn stupid to know that that’s a bad investment or (b) they’ll steer you into a bad investment just to make a fat commission.

Either way, they deserve just slightly more respect than the suicide bombers in Baghdad that annhilate women and children.

Realtors have got to be the scummiest people on earth.
